From the beginning of time, our Creator authored light to separate the darkness (Genesis 1:3). Darkness – set within boundaries – must obey His command, including the dark, gloomy clouds hovering over your life. Arise, for His light has come and His glory shines upon you!
Key Verse: Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Isaiah 60:1
- Monday – From across the room, He saw her and called her forward to set her free. Like this precious women, He sees you and invites you forward to declare, “You are free from ______.” No longer do you need to walk bent over by shame, fear, or regret. Daughter, arise and praise God!
- When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.“ Luke 13:12-13
- Tuesday – It’s time to emerge from the fear of failure, shake off the dust of disappointment, and remove the shackles of rejection from your neck. He’s freed you from all of them. Where do you need to arise, dust off, and sit enthroned as a child of the only King?
- Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:2
- Wednesday – Destitute and begging. He sought money, yet was desperate for more. Peter and John didn’t have money but they offered what they had – something of far greater value. Like Peter, you and I have the power of the Risen One living on the inside; the same power that conquered the grave, gave sight to the blind and allowed the lame to leap. What one thing can you do to declare “Rise up and walk!” for someone else?
- Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Acts 3:6
- Thursday – Most of us are very familiar with the circumstances surrounding our lives. We live with them every day, walking back and forth through the valley surveying the effects of a broken world, and living with the outcome of broken ways. And if we’re not careful, what our eyes perceive become the reality of what our hearts believe. But the question remains, do YOU think these dry bones – the insurmountable obstacle in your life – can arise and live again?
- So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. Ezekiel 37:10
- Friday – Standing between the waves of the storm and the Wave Whisperer, Peter became distracted by the wind and began to sink. Distractions are all around us. Within seconds of waking, were drawn away to the call of busyness. This is a dangerous place to be because, unlike Peter, our distractions may not be as apparent as a raging storm but certainly have the weight to sink us. What one area do you need to rise to a new level of awareness so you can soar?
- Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
