Part of growing tired and weary is trying to figure out the way on our own. Supernatural strength is grounded in the Composer of life. This week, draw harmony and strength from the Mighty Maker’s inexhaustible source.
Key Verse: It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way secure. Psalm 18:32
- Monday – As a pillar provides the structural integrity of a building, so our God provides our stability to stand straight, strengthened and solidified. Strength comes as we commit our ways to Him. As we attach our hearts to Him, He faithfully sweeps in. Have you fully committed your circumstances? He’s looking to strengthen you.
- For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9
- Tuesday – Did you know ants can carry up to 5000 times their weight? The powerful force of these vigorous little soldiers is their neck, which elongates during times of crushing loads. Likewise, it is Christ who extends our strength to do all things underneath the weight of a heavy load. Thank God that you can do ALL (not some) things through Christ (not yourself).
- I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
- Wednesday – In the valley, we must learn to lift our eyes to the One who stands higher than any mountaintop. He strengthens the feeble hands and steadies the knees that give way. Where do you need to elevate your eyes to the One who has promised not to let your foot slip?
- I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber. Psalm 121:1-3
- Thursday – Upon the wings of His strength, we can climb to new levels of trust, glide across obstacles and conquer new ground. Hope in God equals renewed strength to soar and run, but never faint or grow weary. Are you placing confidence in the situation or the God who holds your situation?
- But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
- Friday – He is the answer to the mountain you can’t seem to get around and the valley you can’t seem to cross. Though our flesh may fail, God is not bound by flesh. Call on Him. Lay your burden before the King. Receive the encouragement for which your soul thirsts. He’s only a call away.
- When I called, you answered me; you encouraged me with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3
