Much of our willingness to reach the lost, trampled and broken world comes from our ability to see how much Christ willingly suffered for us. For the joy of knowing we would one day accept Him, he painfully endured the cross. This week, let’s incline our ear to the King’s orders and cheerfully go where He sends us.

Key Verse: For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

  • Monday – When we’re happy and we know, it’s hard not share the joy with others.
    • Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. Psalm 51:12-13
  • Tuesday – God has something amazing prepared JUST FOR YOU. Today, spend time seeking God’s vision for your life, remembering no eye has seen, and no ear has heard all He has prepared for your life.
    • When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Matthew 8:1-3
  • Wednesday – More times than I’d like to admit, I have frantically sought a breakthrough, desiring to take the quickest exit route available. While I was worrying and aimlessly wandering, God was weaving and working. So, where do you need to see the goodness of the Lord? Pour your heart out to the One who sees the beginning from the end.
    • I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13
  • Thursday – Have you found that temporary things (seen) overshadow your eternal (unseen) perspective? Vision is what bridges the gap between now and the eternal future. Ask God to give you a 30000 ft perspective to soar above any weeds in which you find yourself entangled.
    • So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
  • Friday – As you enter the weekend, look for ways to taste and see the goodness of God around you, choosing to see the world through His eyes.
    • Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8
